We use First News a lot to learn about lots of different things. We also do comprehension tasks online and there are often very interesting eco articles or articles about our world, nature and the environment. Our rights and responsibilities committee meet every week and then choose a right and share it with everyone in weekly assemblies.
Pupil Council have been discussing different questions about How Good our school is. We talked a lot about eco Teams and fed back about it in assembly. All of our committees and teams feedback and give updates every week in assembly. Pupil Council, Reading Team, Rights and Responsibilities, Digital Leaders and Eco Teams.
Pupil Council wrote to our Parent Council and asked if they would like to donate some money for us to get some new reading books. They said yes!! Here is our Reading Team sorting them out. As you can see we got some interesting books. We made sure to choose some that would help us to learn more about our world, the environment, climate change and what we can do to help. We are making a new suggestions/comment/ideas box so that if anyone wants to put something in they can.
We know that as well as caring for our world we need to care for ourselves and each other. We move our peg to the emotion we are feeling and everyone checks and notices when they are walking by and then we know who needs a little bit of extra care or to chat or some space. It is good.
Have a look at our new School Handbook. You will be able to see lots of areas that we are becoming more and more Eco-aware and responsible!
We have a new book scrap book. We can do a page whenever we want about a book we have read. It is sort of an interactive book review to recommend books and if we can't decide what we want to read we can have a look through it to help us decide. These two made the first page and it was about Beetle Boy. We did some research about beetles too.
We often spot wildlife through our windows. When we do we always all stop and watch. Today we saw some deer but they disappeared very quickly.
Mrs P always reads to us and we are listening to Twitch at the moment. We have learned quite a lot about birds and bird watching. It is exciting and we are getting near the end!
